The Power of My Parts- A Film Festival/Health Summit For Youth By Youth


TBhe Power of My Parts-A Film Festival/Health Summit For Youth By Youth is hosted annually by YWCHAC in recognition of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (March 10). The festival features films acted, written, directed and produced by young people from far and wide. The goal for the event is to create dialogue among young people about the issues that they face daily and to provide resources so that they can make informed decisions.

The event provides information to over 300 attendees on issues impacting HIV infection rates including educational opportunities, financial literacy and health concerns. Representatives from community based organizations are present to provide resources to youth on site.Free rapid HIV tests and confidential counseling are offered to attendees.
